Applications Invited for the IAHPC’s Grant to Participate in IAPCON 2026
The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) in collaboration with the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) invite applications to receive grants to encourage participation in the 33rd International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2026). IAPCON 2026 is scheduled to be held at NI-MSME, Yosuf Nagar, Hyderabad from 13th to 15th February, 2026. Pre-conference workshops will be conducted on 12th February, 2026. Please visit the conference website for further information.
The grant will support individuals working in the field of palliative care by covering their registration fees. Selected grantee will be eligible to receive a maximum of USD 125 (approx. INR 11,000).

Special edition of ‘Singing for the Stars’ on Thursday, 20th November, 2025
The IAPC and the Shankar Mahadevan Academy Nirvana, invite you to participate in a special edition of ‘Singing for the Stars’, a free, online, musical concert dedicated to our palliative care patients and their caregivers, and our colleagues.
This edition of ‘Singing for the Stars’ is scheduled for, Thursday, 20th November, 2025, at 2:55 p.m.
The musical evening of harmonies will be presented by Ms. Anushree Datar, Vocalist, Performing Artist & Music Educator (SMA Nirvana).

IAPC invites Proposal for IAPCON 2028
The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) is inviting proposals to conduct the 35th Annual International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2028).
Those interested to organise the conference are requested to submit their expression of interest by emailing the proposal in the requested and prescribed format to the Secretary, IAPC, at iapcagbm@gmail.com before 5 p.m. on Saturday, 17th January, 2026.
The conference venue for IAPCON 2028, will be decided in the IAPC’s Annual General Body Meeting held in Hyderabad in February, 2026, on the basis of the proposals received by the Secretary.
IAPC’s Infographic of the month: Preparing Palliative Care Teams for a Humanitarian Crisis

The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) in its constant endeavour to promote palliative care education and awareness across the country launched the ‘IAPC’s Infographic of the month’ initiative in June 2023. We are pleased to share with you the November 2025 infographic developed as a part of Care Continuum series. The focus of November Infographic is “Preparing Palliative Care Teams for a Humanitarian Crisis”.
We thank Dr. Wasimul Hoda (Fellow in Pain Medicine, Department of Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, AIIMS New Delhi) for his valuable support towards this initiative.

IAPCON 2025 concludes with success and grandeur on 2nd February, 2025
The 32nd Annual International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2025) concluded successfully at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jammu, on Sunday, 2nd February, 2025. The energy filled conference themed ‘Evidence based Palliative Care’ was held between Friday, 31st January, 2025, and Sunday, 2nd February, 2025.
Over 820 delegates from India and beyond participated at IAPCON 2025 to share ideas, exchange best practices, network and encourage peer learning.
344 delegates participated in 14 very innovative and interesting pre-conference workshops held on Thursday, 30th January, 2025.
A total of 114 posters were presented, 87 oral presentations were held, and 45 free posters were listed at the conference.

Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) of the IAPC
The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) invites all its members to attend the Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM), scheduled to be held on 14th February, 2026 at 4:00 PM during IAPCON 2026 in the Main Hall (Hall A), National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), Hyderabad. Members are encouraged to participate and contribute to discussions on key organisational updates, activities, and plans for the coming year. Your presence and active involvement are vital to strengthening our collective efforts in advancing palliative care across the country. We look forward to your participation.
Engaging Activities and Creative Opportunities at IAPCON 2026
The 33rd International Conference of IAPC (IAPCON 2026) brings an exciting line-up of interactive and creative events designed to engage, inspire and energise participants throughout the conference. Delegates can look forward to the lively IAPCs’ Annual Debate, which encourages sharp thinking, confident expression and healthy academic discussion. Adding a refreshing and joyful element, the Ha! Ha! Ha! contest invites healthcare professionals to share humour through drawings, jokes, memes and short stories, celebrating the important role of laughter in holistic palliative care.
The conference will be held at National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), Hyderabad from 13th to 15th February 2025. Pre- conference workshops will be held at various venues in Hyderabad on 12th February 2025. For details please visit the IAPCON 2026 website.
